• 阐释工作分配说明，申请合适的程序并选择设备 interpreting work assignment instructions, applying appropriate procedures and selecting equipment

• 估算材料成本，确保已完成的工作符合规格，规章以及合同规定 estimating material costs and ensuring finished works are within specifications, regulations and contract provisions
• 检查土木工程工作，组织并监督维护和维修工作 inspecting civil engineering works, and organising and supervising maintenance and repair work
• 对建筑材料和土壤进行实地测试和实验室测试；为交通调研收集资料 conducting field and laboratory tests of construction materials and soils, and collecting data for traffic surveys
